 About screen printing:
  Screen printing belongs to stencil printing, which is called the four major printing methods together with lithography, embossing and gravure printing. The principle of stencil printing is: printing plates (perforations that can pass through the ink are made on the base of the paper film or other plates). When printing, the ink is transferred to the substrate (paper, ceramics, etc.) through the perforations of the stencil during a certain pressure ) To form an image or text.
  Screen printing is to make silk screen, synthetic fiber fabric or metal screen on the screen frame, and use hand-painted film or photochemical plate-making method to make screen printing plate. Modern screen printing technology is to use a photosensitive material to make a screen printing plate by photoengraving. (The screen holes on the screen printing plate are through holes, and the screen holes on the non-text portion are blocked. live). When printing, the ink is transferred to the substrate through the mesh of the graphic part through the squeezing of the blade to form the same graphic as the original. Screen printing equipment is simple, easy to operate, easy to print and plate, low in cost, and highly adaptable. Screen printing has a wide range of common prints: color oil paintings, posters, business cards, decorative covers, product signs and printed textiles.
   Screen printing consists of five major elements, namely screen printing plates, doctor blades, inks, printing tables and substrates. The basic principle of screen printing is to use the basic principle of screen printing plate to penetrate the ink through the screen portion and the non-graphic portion of the screen to prevent ink from printing. When printing, pour ink on one end of the screen printing plate, and apply a certain pressure on the ink portion of the screen printing plate with a scraping blade, while moving toward the other end of the screen printing plate. The ink is squeezed by the scraper from the mesh of the graphic part onto the substrate during the movement. Due to the viscosity of the ink, the imprint is fixed within a certain range. During the printing process, the squeegee is always in line contact with the screen printing plate and the substrate. The contact line moves with the squeegee movement. A certain gap is maintained between the screen printing plates during printing to generate a reaction force against the scraper through its own tension. This reaction force is called the rebound force. Due to the effect of the resilience, the screen printing plate and the substrate are only in moving line contact, and the other parts of the screen printing plate are in a detached state from the substrate. The ink and the screen are broken to ensure the printing dimensional accuracy and avoid staining the substrate. When the scraper scrapes across the entire layout, the screen printing plate is also lifted, and the ink is gently scraped back to the initial position. This is a printing process.
Features of screen printing:
The characteristics of screen printing are summarized in the following aspects:
① Screen printing can use many types of inks. That is: oily, water-based, synthetic resin emulsion type, powder and other types of ink.
② The layout is soft. The screen printing screen is soft and has certain elasticity. It is not only suitable for printing on soft articles such as paper and cloth, but also suitable for printing on hard articles, such as glass, ceramics, etc.
Screen printing embossing force is small. Due to the low pressure used during printing, it is also suitable for printing on fragile objects.
④ Thick ink layer and strong covering power.
